Chad Stevens
Chad Stevens is an award winning Australian figurative artist whose paintings are inspired by an escape from reality. Chad reminds us of how interesting life can be in a person, animal or place, capturing the form as technically accurately as possible, but in a dream of colours and textures so the viewer can experience how he feels and views his subjects through a multitude of mediums.
“I’m a big people watcher, I like to paint people how I see them in their day to day and take away the negative in what they see in themselves. Honesty and integrity is what I try to capture the most”.
Mainly painting animals and people, he also dabbles in large scale abstracts inspired by his travels around the world.
Chad runs an artistic business platform that offers painting classes and other artistic events at venues around the Gold Coast bringing the community together through creativity. He was also last years winner of the Darcy Doyle’s figurative Art prize
